In this movie, someone cared enough to help out, and fortunately their efforts worked. This was surprisingly good for a hallmark movie. There are lots of really good messages here. A sweet surprise with twists and turns I didn't see coming. Do not be fooled by the poster and the summary, this isn't your typical indentured servant girl with a teenage romance. So poorly made and almost as poorly written.

This looks like a bunch of amateurs somehow found money to make a movie, but had no idea how to do it. She avoids him and his apologies at high school. Really upset? Emotional abuse is quite insidious and, like the main character here, it is often hard to define. His behavior is creepy and needs to be addressed! Was this review helpful? This movie is about a serious subject and has perfectly blended drama with real world solutions. I almost peed myself watching the aunt try to act.

I think it potrays a very realistic example of someone who suffers from emotional abuse and how they can not even realize that they are a victim which was interesting and thought provoking. Full Disclosure: I'm a 60 something male who generally likes Westerns (with John Wayne, James Garner, Clint Eastwood, ...), the Dirty Harry movies, Police dramas, and so on . I was never one to read the old bedtime Classics to my daughters for the pure reason that I always found Cinderella to be a story of an abused shut in. Was this review helpful? . Highly recommend if you're not already jaded. She lets her friends believe, that she's dating the hot actor Chas. She avoids him and his apologies at high school. I am sorry for all involved in it's production. On the up side, we grow a little, sometimes a lot, and we're better than before, though it takes a while to see it. . A good clean story, with a powerful message. The script is badly written, and the acting is either wooden or baffoonish. They spent it all on production but saved on rookie actors, except for Paris Warner, who did a nice job in the lead role. The creativity with the Cinderella theme was good- I didn't read the book- and I felt that the way the abuse issue from the family was handled was appropriate.

We live in cynical times but some stories can move you to tears with a good message. There are some normal teenage movie expectations as well. This was rather painful to watch in spite of the cute story.
If I ever get to Provo, Utah where this movie was filmed, I am heading there right after I get settled into my hotel. No, she's just a tad puzzled and goes along with it.
