Although she is trying to evade CIA operative Marissa Wiegler (Enos), who has long been pursuing her, Hanna wants to experience the world and starts to stray from home, which is how Wiegler picks up the girl’s scentAfter they are separated, Hanna struggles to get back to her father, and makes a friend who’s her own age — Sophie (Barreto) — all the while trying to stay one step ahead of MarissaEnjoyed the movie so watched the series.

I had very high hope for this show after seeing the first teaser episode.

Desperate to know more about what her father is up to, Hanna discovers a huge secret in her own past.

I mean for fcksake all the girls staying at The Meadows getting trained have signs all over their bedroom walls about female empowerment and putting men down. From what I've read it seems that most of the low reviews are from people who don't like that it's different from the movie.

Right! So disappointed. Yet, keen to grow beyond the boundaries of her isolated world, she begins to venture away from home.

Some of the fight scenes are unbelievable but I say that about almost all action movies.

Worldly elements with an ever morphing landscape that takes you on a ride. The insipid teenage lesbian girl crush? People need to stop comparing Hanna to the movie and watch it as a separate series because it really is a pretty good show!

So sad compare to the original movie.

Doesn't seem the makers of this series are interested in the same demographic as the ones who made the movie. Clubbing?

If you loved the movie you may be disappointed. Season 2 only gets better, slowly building up character and plot until it reaches a really satisfactory finale, if you got invested in the characters (I may understand that people who came for the explosive action might not like the slower, character building chapters, but I can only find them awesome from an history telling standpoint, and everyone who hasn't got the attention span of a jellyfish between action sequences will surely do) This show succeeds where the other failed.

I enjoyed season one, season 2 was a bit less interesting until the end of episode 4 If you've watched The Killing starring Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnamon, you'll be psyched to see them together again. Yet despite this glimpse at normality, the threat of Marissa and her operatives is never far behind.Hanna and Erik are reunited in Berlin, where they hide out with his old army friends and she learns more about her father’s past. Europe is also beautiful and worth exploring.

This is a totally different thing to watch and it's very good. Congrats to all who made this happen. The action is well done and relatively more plausible.

Let me start out by saying I was going to give this series EVERY chance to stand apart from the brilliant movie starring a young woman I knew would be an Oscar winner, but it doesn't heat up until episode 5. However, Hanna continues to long for the normal life she glimpsed with Sophie and becomes increasingly frustrated at the restrictions her own father imposes on her. I was a bit skeptical because the movie was soo good.

The directors, writers are all to blame for this crap! The movie was better.

SO DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! Season 1 does an excellent job in recreating and expanding the original story, balancing action and chills with greatly gratifying character development, that ends with an impressive (altough stormtrooper-aim-ish) action packed chapter. 12 out of 14 found this helpful.
